“Dan” company adopts the Marines
 The project “Adopt A Unit”, during which large Israeli companies “adopt” various military divisions, granted us with the best. “Dan” adopted the elite IDF force – so called “Shayetet 13”, which is a unit of special missions commandos acting on land as well as in sea. Fighters training in this unit considered to be one of the most difficult in the whole army: it starts with half a year of basic infantry training with advanced physical exercises and continues with special training in parachute jumping, diving, hand-to-hand combat, orientation, ships and submarines control, naval attack and anti-terrorist fighting. This unit soldiers undertake to serve in the army beyond the three obligatory years.
The unit founder Jochanan Bin Nun, that later on became a naval forces chief commander, participated in marines operations as early as in the days of the English mandate. Bin Nun and his fellows acted against the English patrol ships, using primitive means to sink battleships and vantage vessels that tried to prevent Jewish aliah to the Holy Land.
The meaning of unit’s adoption consists in:
 Partnership of “Dan” and “Shayetet 13” marines unit.
Organising of various mutual events, which purpose is to unite people and fasten the brotherhood.
Transportive assistance to the unit’s fighters, wherever they head for.
Organising mutual sportive contests.
